Brazing, welding, and other joining techniques are often performed in a vacuum or gas-controlled environment. Vacuum brazing is a metal-joining technique in which a filler metal joins two or more close-fitting parts by capillary action. Vacuum brazing produces a clean joint and creates a strong flux-free braze joint. Complicated assemblies with thick and thin sections, odd shapes and inaccessible joints can be vacuum brazed.
