OTHER LEAK TEST METHODS
LACO continues to innovate and develop unique leak test methods to meet the ever evolving needs of our customers. Two examples of innovative test methods are Force Decay and Ultrasonic.
The Force Decay leak test method is an innovative way of detecting leaks in sealed flexible products or packaging. By applying pressure to the flexible surface and measuring the change in pressure through a force gauge, we can indirectly measure the leak rate. This method can be used to detect very large leaks as well as leaks down to the range of 1 sccm.
Ultrasonic Technology is used in a variety of industries for detecting defects. In production leak testing this technology can be used to identify product defects such as cracks, porosity, pin-holes, and gaps that would create a leak. LACO has developed proprietary leak testing methods utilizing this technology.
