LACO is seeking a Field Service Engineer to play a key role as a team member in building a national service team with a growing company that designs and manufactures custom vacuum and leak test equipment.
Requirements: The ideal candidate must be passionate about providing customer support and service with a proven history of solving problems. Experience with PLC and PC-based control systems including writing and troubleshooting ladder logic software on multiple platforms. Experience should include the troubleshooting and design of industrial electrical systems. Experience with vacuum, gas and fluid handling systems and instrumentation is preferred. You must be willing to travel 2-3 weeks per month. LACO will provide you with unique technical training specific to our manufactured products.
Duties: You will provide post-sale phone, online, and onsite technical customer support on all LACO products—primary focus will be on custom turn-key LACO engineered systems. Travel onsite to support new equipment customer runoff, warranty, and other supportand equipment upgrades. When not at the customer you will support in-house repair of equipment and instruments. This will include the support of and participation in final system testing, and provide additional design engineering team support as needed. You will report to LACO’s Service Manager.
- Education: Minimum 2 year technical degree, bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred
